This is a pendant light "171A" made by Le Klint of Denmark. Designed in 1971 by Poul Christiansen. Currently out of production, this is a rare, vintage item only available on the market. Purchased about 5 years ago from a Scandinavian furniture store, it was then carefully used in a Japanese-style room in a vacation home. It is being offered for sale because it has been replaced with a different light. The shade material is a thin resin sheet, lightweight and easy to install. It appears to be made by hand-folding a single sheet like origami, but the shape is very complex and three-dimensional. The light passing through the shade is soft and illuminates a wide area, which should be sufficient for a room of about 7-8 tatami mats. With its soft design that makes extensive use of curves, this light is a good match for any setting, such as a children's room, bedroom, living room, or dining room. There are no noticeable stains, scratches, or folds, and it is in good condition. Upon close inspection, there is some slight yellowing throughout the sheet due to aging, but it is not noticeable when lit. Please understand this as it is an item that has aged over time. ■ Brand: LE KLINT ■ Designer: Poul Christiansen / Denmark ■ Dimensions: 420mm x H310mm Cord length: approx. 50cm ■ Weight: approx. 500g ■ Material: Plastic ■ E26 bulb (up to 100V) Bulb not included ■ Power: Hook-on ceiling, cup also included
