Thank you for viewing. The pickguard of this YAMAHA LL16D has been replaced with a black pickguard in the 1980s style, and it has been customized with 5mm abalone shell bridge pins. The string height is 2.1mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string and approximately 1.5mm on the 1st string. The top wood grain is fine and tight, made of high-grade solid spruce. Recent YAMAHA guitars sometimes use wood with warped grain or poor quality materials, so this guitar has a very beautiful top board. The side and back boards also have beautiful quarter-sawn grain. Recent YAMAHA guitars often have wide grain or misaligned quarter-sawn grain, and many have unusual grain patterns. The abalone shell around the soundhole shines beautifully all the way around. I think it's very rare to find abalone this beautiful. The pickguard has some light strumming marks from normal use. Otherwise, it is in beautiful condition with no dents. Purchased in September 2024. I also own a Martin D-45, and this guitar's sustain is just as amazing, and the overtones are pleasant. The LL16D is not often available.
