We will read aloud a story from a textbook, one section at a time, in order. However, we must read according to various instruction cards. Changing the words or adding actions is okay. If you laugh, you take a piece of chalk. If you run out of chalk chips before finishing the story, the person with the most chalk chips loses. If we finish reading the story, everyone wins, and we will decide on the most impressive, outstanding reader. This can be used for social skills training (SST) for upper elementary to middle school students.
