This is a quilted, waterproof mattress pad. I used to secure disposable incontinence pads on top of the waterproof pad with masking tape to prevent them from shifting. (Since the person I was caring for moved around a lot in their sleep, the pads would constantly bunch up and shift, so I used masking tape as a last resort.) Every time I threw away the disposable pads, I had to peel off the tape, which caused small tears, and now I've patched it up with tape in places(^^;; The elastic is also stretched out. There are marks where the name was erased with a marker. The surface shows some signs of use, but I think it's still perfectly usable. Since I always had a disposable pad on the area where the waist would be, I don't think there's much soiling there. Would this be suitable as a replacement waterproof mattress pad?
