This is a teacup by Keisen Yano (also known as Yano Sei), a master craftsman of Seto ware. It is unusual in that it is a pair of Shino teacups with different appearances, and is a rare example of Keisen's work. It was made when he was 88 years old, and is from the same period as his first solo exhibition, which was initiated by Yasunari Kawabata and others. There are no noticeable cracks or chips.
