[7] Condition: Slight scratches are visible on the inkstone's ink basin, but there are no noticeable scratches or stains. [8] Shape: Konoha-ken (leaf-shaped) ◉ According to documents, Akama inkstones have a history dating back 600 years to the Muromachi period. The Akama stone is reddish-brown chlorite tuff, and it is said to have a stone quality similar to Chinese Duan inkstones, mixing iron oxide, mud, and ash. Due to differences in color, they are divided into Shikinseki (purple gold stone), Shiunseki (purple cloud stone), Shigyokuseki (purple jade stone), Shiseki (purple stone), and Shiseki (purple stone). ◯ The craftsman's work skillfully utilizes the Akama stone as it is and finishes it in a leaf shape. The hill (ink grinding surface) beautifully displays the stone patterns, which are a characteristic of Akama stone. Please use it for kana and small characters.
