I've made a key case using a spring clasp, which is something you don't often see (I've never seen it myself). For short walks or hikes, when you don't want to carry a wallet, you can store bills, coins, and cards in the center section when folded in thirds. It's also perfect for storing small items like medicine. The leather is cowhide from the famous Italian tannery, Badalassi Carlo. It's full of oil, so the aging process is enjoyable. It's similar to suede leather, but the surface isn't brushed. It will become fuzzy with use, so you can enjoy it by sanding it to your liking, or by slightly moistening the leather and rubbing it against the edge of a glass to smooth it down.
