This is a traditional Tsugaru-nuri tray from Aomori Prefecture. My grandfather and father were both Tsugaru-nuri artisans. My father passed away five years ago, so I am offering the remaining stock to those who will cherish them. Thanks to you, I have received many kind words, and I am deeply grateful. This tray has a cherry blossom shape on the inside, which gives it a cute appearance. As it is not very thick for a tray, it can be used on a table to hold sweets, or you can place a cloth on it and display small ornaments like kokeshi dolls.
