This is a Sooty the character lamp from 1950s England. I purchased it in England about 30 years ago. Since then, I've displayed it in a collection case, so the condition is almost unchanged from when I bought it. The lamp lit up when I bought it in England, but 30 years have passed, and it has a UK plug, so I haven't been able to confirm if it still works. I have another one, and the light is dim. So, even if it does light up, it would probably only brighten the inside of the collection case a little. As it is an antique item, there are some minor scratches and dirt.
