This listing is for a 1965 Topcon RE-2 / RE Auto-Topcor 5.8cm f/1.8, a popular single-lens reflex camera designed for serious amateurs and as a secondary camera to the RE Super. Included are a Kenko SL1B filter and an adapter for LR44 replacement batteries. "Camera Condition" The body and lens show signs of wear and scratches from age and use. Regarding the optics, there is some dust and cleaning marks that could not be removed from the viewfinder and lens, as well as some traces of mold. There is a noticeable scratch on the front element of the lens, but it has been serviced to the extent that it should not affect actual shooting, except in backlit situations. The meter is working, but consider it as a reference value for exposure determination. If you are concerned, please use a separate light meter. X-sync and self-timer operation have been confirmed. The shutter is working without issue. The light seals have been replaced, including those inside. There are no problems such as "light leaks." The results of actual shooting are good. "Important Notes" * Use LR44 (1.5V) replacement batteries and the adapter. Because the voltage is higher than the rated value, adjust the compensation using the ISO film speed. (Approximately +1.0 to 1.5 stops) * Close the battery cover horizontally, not at an angle. * Until the light seals settle in, open and close the back cover carefully with both hands. * Turn the SW OFF when not using the meter. Please note that it does not turn off automatically. * As with all analog cameras with built-in light meters, remove the batteries when you will not be using the camera for an extended period. This can cause the batteries to expand and leak. In the worst case, the battery cover may become stuck. This camera is a practical user and is not a collector's item in excellent condition. I humbly suggest that those who are particular about details should purchase from a specialist shop.
