Montague Burton 2pc Suit A vintage British brand with a long history, often seen in 60s-70s era Teddy Boy coats (drape jackets). This suit was purchased by me in London about 15 years ago. I wore it a few times for parties, but I've kept it carefully stored in recent years because I've outgrown it, so the condition is quite good. I estimate it was manufactured around the Y2K era (early 2000s). It's labeled 36/30, but the actual size is smaller, so it's recommended for petite, slim men or women. It's an all-season fabric made of wool and polyester, and it's very light and comfortable to wear. As indicated on the label, it's washable, so you can easily wash it (I've actually machine-washed it several times without any problems. I haven't used a dryer, and I don't recommend it). The fabric has a tonic-like feel and color, with an iridescent, dull luster and shading, and it's a gray base with a slightly greenish hue. The jacket features a slightly narrow notched lapel, a through-hole flower hole (for pins and lapel pins), standard 3 buttons, 3 decorative cuff buttons (not working cuffs), side flap welt pockets (can be hidden without flaps), British-style tapered darts, a short single vent, and two inside pockets. The pants have button & hook closure, a YKK zipper, the standard 3 pockets of UK trousers, a center press, and single tucks. As the product name suggests, it's a perfect match for UK counter-culture styles, and it would look great for those into rocksteady and ska, or even for a rock and roll garage look like TMGE (Thee Michelle Gun Elephant). Honestly, I wouldn't sell it if it still fit, but I have to declutter. It's very cool and easy to wear, so I highly recommend it with confidence.
