This is Oshima Tsumugi, a silk fabric, passed down to me from my grandmother in Kagoshima. I have too many of them and can't store them all, so I'm offering this one to someone who will wear it. The weave is so supple and intricate that it looks like a print. The pattern appears to float depending on the angle, and it has a luster like Thai silk.
