There are no noticeable stains or tears other than on the cuffs, but since there is some wear and tear, I have marked it as "slightly damaged or with stains." The zipper at the crotch opens up quite a bit, making diaper changes easy. It's filled with polyester batting instead of down or feathers, so it's easy to wash. Fortunately for us, we found that down often caused a runny nose, so this was good in that respect as well. It's a Motherways product, so the construction is solid. The padding isn't very thick, so I recommend wearing something thicker underneath for playing in the snow, or using it for activities other than snow play, in the spring, or in areas where it doesn't snow much.
