This is a flower vase created by a famous female bamboo craft artist from Tochigi Prefecture. I purchased it at a solo exhibition about 15 years ago, before she became well-known. I only displayed it on a shelf in my living room. I haven't placed it in direct sunlight. This is because the bamboo is dark brown and has been lacquered. The last image shows the artist's name carved into the piece.
