This is an old Mitchell 308. However, the internal gears have been replaced with those from a 408. It was a long time ago, so my memory isn't perfect, but I believe the bail on my main 408 broke. Since it was already discontinued and there were no auctions like there are now, making it difficult to obtain parts, I probably transplanted the 408 gears into the body of a 308 that I had as a spare. It's old, so there is dirt and age-related deterioration. Please enlarge the images and examine them carefully to make your judgment. The small clicking sound that you hear when turning the handle is absent. It might be possible to make the sound by adjusting the internal spring, but I've forgotten the mechanism, so I'm selling it in its current state without the sound. I will also sell it with the oil as it is. Other functions are normal.
