It was purchased about 50 years ago at an antique shop inside a hotel in Yotsuya, Tokyo. It has been displayed in a display cabinet for viewing ever since and is unused. It is believed to have been made over 100 years ago. I believe this hand-painted piece, with its intricate patterns and extensive gold accents, which are flawless, is worthy of homage (personal opinion). The blue color is indescribable and modern. Although it is lavish with gold brocade, the base color is subdued, and flowers and pine are depicted within unique motifs, and the white space creates a sense of calm, allowing one to reflect on the era in which it was created.
