While several similar sake vessel sets are available, this item is likely a rare piece made as a promotional item, as it has "Celebration of Completion Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd." painted on the tokkuri (sake bottle). There is some staining on the bottom of the tokkuri and ochoko (sake cups), as well as on the original box. - Quantity: 2 tokkuri, 5 ochoko - Material: Ceramic - Design: Karako (Chinese child) design - Features: "Celebration of Completion Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd." inscribed on the tokkuri. The inside of the original box lid is inscribed with "Showa 50th year? November, auspicious day." This item is approximately 50 years old. The Karako design was mainly used on tribute items. It is said that if there are 7 Karako, it was for the Imperial Court or Shogun, 5 for Daimyo or senior retainers, and 3 for general samurai.
