Instant purchase is OK. It runs on 4 D-size batteries or the included AC adapter. I bought it about 2 years ago. The tape can be recorded and played back, but the rotation speed is off, and the sound fluctuates badly. Even after adjusting the rotation speed many times, it still goes off. I'm putting it up for sale because it's unusable.
