This is a girl's first kimono for Hatsumairi (a baby's first visit to a shrine). The kimono is silk, and the襦袢 (undergarment) is synthetic fiber. As shown in the last photo, there is a stain on the front collar of the kimono, but overall it is in a relatively clean condition. It has gold thread embroidery on the back, making it a gorgeous piece. The 襦袢 has red inner sleeves. By adjusting the waist and shoulder tucks, it can also be used for a three-year-old's Shichi-Go-San (a celebration for children aged three, five, and seven).
