It's a 100-year-old inkstone, and it can't be used as is, so it took a month to remake it. The stone is the highest grade of Amehata Shinkiseki. It's a good stone even among the highest grade. It works well with both pine soot and oil soot inks, but I think it's an inkstone that produces the best ink color with pine soot. The ink melts beautifully, and it's an inkstone that makes the person grinding the ink melt away too. It is perfect for works for public exhibitions.
