Possibly an antique doily from around the 19th century, from the Abruzzi region of Belgium or Italy. A flower motif with countless flowers blooming from the center towards the outer edge/rim, creating an authentic and nostalgic, lovely, garden-like bobbin lace flower/round doily. The flowers in the center extend their stems as they please, and the rim is filled with various small flowers, creating an elegant and exciting bobbin lace with a floral pattern. The flowers on the edge might also look like two cherries. The motifs are woven with thin yarn. Openwork is incorporated into the outlines of the petals and stems, and the weave is not tight, woven gently and somewhat airy, expressed with soft curves. Mesh bridges are woven in the spaces with a thicker thread than the plants. The base is a mellow milkshake color, a slightly darker ivory tone, like jersey milk color, including grass green and yellow. The right side of the image shown together is an ecru, pale ivory with a similar design. Light, smooth, and soft, yet firm, with a gentle, fluffy expression. Possibly natural linen, or a linen & cotton blend. Please forgive any errors due to amateur measurements. No noticeable damage such as scratches or stains. I feel it is in a condition close to the original. I think it is in good condition as a handmade antique work, but please take a look at the images and forgive any minor imperfections. It looks great on tables, chests, and cabinets. Also under small bisque dolls, mignonettes, vases, or tea sets. It's also lovely in the entryway. The delicacy and texture are different from machine-made. Framing it is also wonderful.
