This is a lovely antique kimono with long sleeves. It has a bat-wing collar. It appears to be woven with red and green threads, making it a perfect Christmas color. I believe it's silk (I'm not a professional, so this may not be accurate). It has a luster like meisen silk, and the color shifts iridescently depending on the viewing angle. The photographed images appear slightly lighter in color due to the sheen. The lining is red, and the hagari (underskirt) is a reddish-brown color. The shoulder area of the lining has different fabric. It appears to have been sewn with a machine, so it seems to have been altered in recent years. The rest is basically hand-sewn. It's a kimono you'd want to wear during the Christmas season. I think it's a rare color combination, so I'm hesitant to part with it, but I'm selling it because I have too many kimonos. It's a tsumugi fabric, and there are slubs. It is a used item stored at home and is an antique kimono. Please consider purchasing if you understand antique kimonos. Please refrain from purchasing if you expect a new, pristine item or if you are overly sensitive to imperfections.
