This is a very rare noragi (workwear) made with a scissor ✂️ pattern kasuri fabric. It's difficult to see, but it's been fully sashiko-stitched at 6cm intervals, and the fact that it's a lined garment makes it sturdy overall. The strong pattern is skillfully combined, creating a unified design. The patterns on areas like the underarms are also changed, suggesting that the person at the time enjoyed pattern matching even with limited fabric. It was originally sewn to be worn without sleeves. There is no major damage, and it's in a condition ready to wear. There is a large stain on the inside, around the waist to the lower knee area. It blends in with the pattern and may be difficult to see in the images, but please check the last two images. I've cherished this for nearly 10 years, so I'd be happier if it could be passed on to future generations rather than being remade. Please purchase only if you understand antique fabrics.
