This is a set of three items: Showa retro sake cups and a tokkuri (sake bottle). I will sell these together, which are ceramic items with different colors and textures. However, I do not drink alcohol, and I do not know much about pottery, so please forgive me for explaining based on my research and understanding. Also, I apologize if there are any incorrect descriptions. ⚫︎ Hagi-yaki (pink) This is a traditional Japanese pottery with over 400 years of history, made mainly in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. There is a potter's mark on the sake cup, but I do not know the artist. ⚫︎ Kosugi-yaki (black) This is a tokkuri with a unique shape, modeled after a duck. The contrast between the black tenmoku glaze on the body and the green glaze on the mouth, and the elegant form are characteristics of traditional Kosugi-yaki. It has long been a famous sake vessel, often referred to as "Kosugi-yakiといえば鴨徳利" (Kosugi-yaki means duck tokkuri). There are potter's marks on the tokkuri and sake cup, but I do not know the artist. ⚫︎ Tokoname-yaki (brown) This is one of the six ancient kilns of Japan, with over 1000 years of history, made mainly in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. It is famous for its vermilion teapots and planters that make use of the characteristics of iron-rich soil. These are unused items that I have carefully displayed in a cabinet, but they have been stored at home for a long time, so please consider purchasing them if you understand this.
