This is a Gozan Okuribi figure, a work by Takashi Murakami. As the name "Daimonji-yaki" suggests, it represents the most iconic character of the Gozan Okuribi festival. Being the largest mountain of the five, the figure is also the largest in size among the five. I heard from someone involved that this piece was the first to sell out among the Gozan Okuribi works. The work is titled "Daimonji-sama" and has the artist's signature on the back of the mountain.
