The flower-like, rounded edges have gold accents. I think they can be used for various things like fruits, cakes, and sweets. On the small plates, the gold paint is faded in some areas on two of the four plates (photos 11 and 12). The large plates are almost unused, so I don't think there are any scratches. They have been stored in a home cupboard, so please be aware of that. I'm selling them to organize my dishes. Used a few times.
