This is a safari/tailored jacket from Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, from the early 90s when Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent was still actively designing. I'm selling it because it no longer fits me. Originally proposed by Monsieur Saint Laurent in the legendary Spring/Summer 1968 collection, the safari jacket quickly became fashionable. However, men's safari looks by Monsieur himself are hard to find. This piece has a dress-wear-like appearance, with details adapted from safari and hunting wear. The soft, cotton-based material, with its deep, beautiful sheen, like velvet, is also a key feature. The color is a stylish moss green (a muted yellowish-green). It's a structured and beautiful jacket with a full lining and shoulder pads. Being a 90s jacket, it's somewhat oversized, but the waist is also slightly cinched, so it doesn't look bulky and can be worn as a tailored jacket or a light coat.
