Thank you for viewing. This is a tuning spring for the centrifugal brake of Abu Garcia bait reels, specifically for IB (Infinite Brake) models such as the Revo series and Roxani series. [The image shows an actual installation example. This product only includes the springs.] Two types of springs are included, one of each: • XPS (Extra Power Spring) → As the name suggests, this is a very strong spring, useful for operating mainly with magnetic brakes. At high speeds, which is a weakness of magnetic brakes, the centrifugal brake acts as a second stage of braking, preventing backlash while allowing the brake to disengage when needed. (Similar to Daiwa's Mag Boost, as seen in Steez and Zillion.) • HPS (High Power Spring) → Basically the same as XPS, but the spring itself is designed to be weaker, making it slightly milder. Both of the above springs have a stronger tension than the springs installed in the original centrifugal brakes. By incorporating them, it is possible to weaken the centrifugal brake, which is set relatively strong in the original product. Please use it to expand the adjustment range of the brake and improve the casting distance. (I use it with Revo Beast.) Although I haven't collected data, I believe it can also be expected to extend the life of the original brake shoes.
