Roger Corman, who bought the rights to the Soviet film "Planet on Fire," reused the special effects scenes that could be used and rewrote a completely different script, adding scenes featuring the great actors Basil Rathbone and Faith Domergue, and re-edited it into a different film. Due to these circumstances, Rathbone doesn't do anything, and Domergue doesn't even meet up with the protagonists.
