This is a carved-out shime-daiko drum (black). I believe it is quite old. It was stored in a paulownia box in the storehouse of an old folk house. Inside, there is a description that reads "Shiraki-ki Gokujo-tohin" (White Zelkova Wood, Highest Quality). There is also a maker's mark, but it is not clear. Although I am not certain, I believe it is definitely a white zelkova wood drum. The inside is in beautiful condition. The outside has fine peeling of the lacquer finish. Please check the images. There are no noticeable cracks or splits. The surface has a fair amount of luster. As a drum body, I believe it can still be used. ■The lighting (white reflection) and other surrounding reflections are present, but they are separate from any scratches or dirt. The white cotton cloth is placed to show the condition of the luster. It is not included with the product.
