This is a large calligraphy brush for the first writing of the year (kakizome). The hair is horse hair, with a diameter of approximately 16.7mm and a tip length of approximately 73.3mm. The name was engraved incorrectly, so it has been covered with tape. A name-writing brush for kakizome can be added for 400 yen, and a regular small brush for 350 yen.
