This is a Takada-yaki matcha bowl. "Gassan Takada-yaki" refers to the works of the kiln, especially those of the representative artist of the Hachidai kiln, Gassan Sakai (13th generation), within the traditional craft of "Takada-yaki" produced in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture. It is characterized by a transparent blue glaze and cherry blossom patterns (zogan, or inlay). Known for tea ceremony utensils and flower vases such as vases, sake cups, and mizusashi (water jars), it is a pottery with a high degree of elegance and a long history. Although it is unused, it was kept at my parents' home and has been stored for a long time.
