This is what is known as a fretless guitar. If you wanted to, you could remove the epoxy, prepare the fingerboard, and refret it to restore it to its original state. Currently, nylon strings are strung on it. The tuners are the original 360 rotomatic tuners. I personally really like these tuners. (Just a personal opinion) The covers are easy to open, yet they fit snugly and don't come off easily, making them easy to maintain. Honestly, I'd like to take just these tuners off and keep them.
