AVIREX was born as a contractor for the U.S. Air Force.
In 1975, a company was established as a contractor for the U.S. Air Force.
That company was "Avirex".
From that time, all military products worn by pilots had detailed specifications.
Only those that met these requirements, from the leather tanning method to the detail lines and labels, were allowed to be delivered.
Especially regarding quality, there were strict conditions for cold protection and functionality, as fighter planes did not have pressurization devices or heaters.
Avirex cleared these and developed a series of garments, often compared to a second skin for pilots, and delivered a vast number of products.
The company name comes from Aviator, which honors aviators who dreamed of the sky, and Avirex (King of the Sky).
