Thank you for viewing this item. This is an eight-panel skirt, neither too thin nor too thick, suitable for all seasons. After purchase, I had a friend (a non-professional) shorten the skirt by 4 cm. The waist has 3.5 cm of total flat elastic (the elastic is secured at each of the eight panels to prevent movement). Also, there are belt loops on every other panel, with 2 cm of chain stitching in red, black, etc., which can be an accent when a belt is worn.
