I tried them on my Beckmans, and they blend in very well with the upper's color. Can be attached to all types of American shoes. For example, they should match well with "lace-up shoes" such as Red Wing, Danner, Wesco, White's, Chippewa, and Wolverine 1000 Mile boots. Basically, they are treated as "decorative items," but apparently, in terms of function, they "play a role in fixing the laces of work boots, etc., so they don't shift left and right." When retightening, if the right and left laces are different lengths, it's a hassle to have to go back and adjust them from the beginning, but using lace keepers will fix them to some extent.
