This is a large German picture book featuring a Christmas story. About 30 years ago, I fell in love with it at first sight at the [International Book Fair] at the newly-built Tokyo Big Sight. (I remember it was quite expensive, but I don't remember the price.) I used to display it as interior decoration every December. It's cut in the shape of a Christmas tree, so it's lovely to either open it up and stand it (as shown in the second photo) or display your favorite scenes like pictures. I'm offering it for sale, hoping someone will appreciate it more than I do.
