Char-san used it for a short period. The manual boasts a thick and clear sound. Personally, I felt it had a sound that removed the stuffiness of a Tube Screamer. It responds quite well to picking nuances. Basically, you shape the sound with DRIVE and LEVEL, and fine-tune the tone with CUT. CUT starts from the closed position and goes to the guitar's TONE at 100% when fully open. It's recommended to adjust LEVEL and DRIVE within a certain range, as they can sound resonant if turned up too high. It has a sound that would suit SANTANA's EUROPE, for example.
