The two L-shaped metal fittings can rotate 360 degrees, allowing you to thresh by widening or narrowing the fittings. Compared to other threshing machines like foot-powered ones, the speed is quite slow, but it allows you to thresh only the ear part, and the straw is less likely to mix in, so you can hull the rice directly after removing a small amount of mixed straw. It may seem time-consuming, but it's very quiet, less tiring, and doesn't take up much space, so even if you're not a farmer, it's very convenient for self-sufficiency, as you can thresh indoors. It takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute to thresh about 1 go (approx. 180ml). If you dry the rice by hanging it and cut the dried rice to a length that makes it easy to thresh only the ear part, you can thresh it indoors after returning from work, and you won't be greatly affected by the weather or time. I think this will be one of the tools that can help you start with bucket rice or a small rice paddy and connect to self-sufficiency of rice for yourself and those around you.
