Purchased at a solo exhibition and carefully wrapped and stored unused. I heard that it takes a lot of time and effort, repeatedly applying lacquer to the clay, polishing, and firing it. It has a baked, hardened feel, and the texture and touch are like metal. It was displayed as a sake vessel set with a small cup, but I think it can also be used as a dish for small Japanese items, or as a tea sea (chahai) for Chinese tea.
