This is a Jitte, an antique Japanese weapon. I received it from a family member about five years ago. I have obtained permission to sell it. I was told it is from the Edo period. I am a complete novice when it comes to antique art, but just looking at it, I feel the history. There are names engraved on both sides. One side says "Manzai Saku" (Made by Manzai), and the other side is unreadable. Also, the handle is decorated. Please see the photos for details.
