This is a suzuri-ike (ink well) used for the first calligraphy of the year. Thank you for looking. This was used by my child from 4th grade elementary school to 1st grade high school for their first calligraphy of the year. - There are marks left from removing name stickers on the lid and bottom of the main body (images 6 and 7). - There are marks from stickers that were used as a guide when locking the lid (image 5). - The box has ink stains and has been repaired with cellophane tape. - There is a name written on the box (covered with tape).
