Unused PORSGRUND Mode Wave Ceramic Plate Antique, New and Unused A PORSGRUND plate made in Norway, featuring a wavy edge and a beautiful white and blue design. This is a vintage (small) cup & saucer from Porsgrund, a ceramic manufacturer that is a purveyor to the Norwegian Royal Court. (1970s) European items tend to have flashy patterns overall, but the Scandinavian ones are a bit different, and their lack of flashiness appeals to the Japanese sensibility, which is why they are popular. The wave-like design evokes the feeling of waves, and the white and blue gradation with 22K gold accents makes for a beautiful cup.
