This is a very rare cello by Rudolf Doerner. It has a calm, amber-colored varnish, and the ribs to the neck show strong tiger-stripe figuring, making it a visually appealing instrument that changes appearance depending on the light. The internal label reads "Rudolf Doerner / Anno 2003 / Made in Western Germany" (please see the photos). It has the construction and wood texture common to cellos that resonate well, suggesting it will be easy to produce a good sound.
