This is a patch pouch made by combining 8 pieces of Liberty print fabric, both square and rectangular, on one side. Each piece has interfacing applied before being combined, and then more interfacing was applied after sewing them together. Because the Tana Lawn fabric used is very delicate, extra interfacing was added for reinforcement, more than would be used when sewing with regular cotton prints. The size is the most common for handmade items, but the zipper was slightly shortened to match the patchwork fabric. The bottom fabric is a charcoal gray solid cotton, with white lace diagonally across the seam and a tag placed on top. The tag is layered on gingham check fabric. The fabric combinations are slightly different on the front and back. The lining is a non-adhesive, soft #11 canvas fabric.
