Shimenawa for Kamidana (Household Shinto Shrine) We use blue straw for shimenawa that we cultivate completely ourselves, from sowing the seeds to harvesting and drying. Each one is carefully handmade. Dimensions: Total length: Approximately 50cm Thickness: Approximately 2cm to 1.5cm The shimenawa gradually tapers from the base to the tip.
