Rare 1950s Seiko Merit Hand-Winding Ladies' Watch / Showa Retro "Seiko Merit," a wristwatch brand that adopted a small movement for women manufactured in the 1950s, was named for the first time after the war. Many of the rectangular models at the time featured Art Deco decorations on both sides, and the design cleverly made the barrel-shaped movement appear slimmer. The back cover is engraved with "EGP 20MICRONS STEEL BACK" and the crane mark, "proof that it is a SEIKO case." Antique watches are wonderful partners that allow you to feel the passage of time, ticking away for 50 or 100 years if you take good care of them. Currently running with a daily accuracy of within ±1 minute. Overhaul history is unknown. There are slight scratches on the main body and belt. The crown shows wear and discoloration due to aging.
