This is an old item, approximately 60-70 years old. It was given to me by my uncle who worked at the Tsukiji Fish Market. It's a traditional navy blue Japanese garment (wafuku) featuring a pattern of clouds and animals. The indigo color has not faded, and the shibori (tie-dyeing) is in beautiful condition. The inner unbleached cotton has discolored. As it is a yukata (summer kimono), this discoloration is unavoidable. Someone skilled in Japanese tailoring could easily replace the fabric in that area. The obi (sash) is reversible.
