The Carlo Moretti workshop was founded in Murano, Venice in 1958 by brothers Carlo and Giovanni Moretti. They are the grandsons of the founder of the Ercole Moretti workshop, famous for its murrine and millefiori plates. This plate was made by Giovanni Moretti. The special murrine made for this plate were created with the calculation that the colors and shades would change significantly depending on the light and viewing angle, and these murrine are not seen anywhere else. It is truly a millefiori plate that only Giovanni Moretti could create. The actual item looks even more vibrant and is 100 times more beautiful. Giovanni Moretti passed away in 2014, making this plate a phantom Venetian glass piece. It has a chic and calm appearance.
