Formed in 1972, I had no way of knowing at the time, but I later learned that My Lady was the band that featured Miki Howard, and I have fond memories of scrambling to collect their 80s LPs that were available. In their 1995 comeback album, in addition to the three original members, Augie Johnson, Greg Matta, and Louie Patton, Elaine Gibbs, who sings most of the leads, delivers vocals that occasionally remind one of Miki, making for a very interesting work. The monochrome jacket gives it an indie feel, but it's a must-have for any aficionado.
